Vacancy Laboratory Technician

For our location in Maastricht, we are searching for a Laboratory Technician.
As Laboratory Technician you are primarily responsible for providing worldwide technical support for the DCL product range and control the quality of our toll manufactured products for our global customers. You ensure that all laboratory and technical service activities are carried out in full compliance with applicable EHS guidelines, while delivering accurate, timely and clearly reported results to internal and external customers. You act as a key technical interface between Technical Service, R&D, Innovation (NPP), Procurement and Production, contributing to continuous improvement of products, methods and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide worldwide technical service support for DCL pigments.
- Quality Control of our toll manufactured products according to specifications and customer applications
- Act as a technical counterpart for R&D and Innovation Drivers (NPP).
- Support the design, realization and maintenance of promotional and technical materials.
- Perform testing and analytical work for internal customers, ensuring accuracy, clarity and adherence to timelines.
- Carry out color matching and laboratory testing to generate reliable and precise data.
- Develop new and improved test and application methods.
- Prepare technical documentation and clear, concise test reports.
- Screen QC, R&D, range and competitor samples.
- Manage standards, specifications, test methods, QSIS and support the Product Quality Team.
- Handle technical complaints.
- Support Production with quality control–related issues.
- Ensure efficient, fast and high-quality service to internal and external customers.
- Maintain excellent workplace organization and housekeeping standards.
- Deliver a consistently high standard of results with a zero-error mindset.
- Education MLO level in Chemical / Coating Laboratory Technology
- Minimum 5 years of relevant laboratory experience.
- Solid knowledge of laboratory safety procedures.
- Experience in Coatings, Plastics, Inks and/or Pigments is an significant advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize workload effectively.
- Fluent in English and Dutch (spoken and written).
- High attention to detail and commitment to clear, concise reporting.
- Flexible, autonomous and customer-focused.
