Job Description
The Sales Executive EMEA is responsible for driving commercial growth, primarily within the legal market in the EMEA region. The role focuses on selling innovative software solutions (such as iManage, Docusign, Intapp, Tiq, Litera, etc.) and related implementation services to legal service providers, including law firms, in-house legal departments, and accounting firms.

As a specialist in selling technology to legal professionals, the Sales Executive understands the unique needs, compliance requirements, and workflows of this target audience. He/she plays a key role in connecting technological solutions—such as document management systems (DMS), contract lifecycle management (CLM), workflow automation, and AI-based search and analytics tools—with the operational challenges of legal organizations.

The position requires the ability to analyze complex customer environments, build trust with legal stakeholders (such as partners, general counsel, and IT managers), and establish long-term partnerships. The Sales Executive works closely with vendors, consultants, and pre-sales specialists to deliver valuable, integrated solutions that support customers in their digital transformation journeys.

  • Contributing to thought leadership in the market
In short, the Sales Executive is the commercial driving force behind positioning IRIS as the trusted partner for legal tech solutions in the EMEA region.

Activities, Tasks, and Responsibilities
  • Developing and executing a strategic sales plan aimed at increasing market share within EMEA
  • Identifying and approaching new customers within the target segments (mid-market and enterprise)
  • Translating customer needs into concrete sales activities by gathering input from customers, partners, and colleagues
  • Managing existing customer accounts, including cross-selling and upselling additional software and services
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for key accounts within the region
  • Building long-term relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders on the customer side
  • Working with software vendors (ISVs) as a value-added reseller (VAR)
  • Collaborating with the delivery team to ensure a smooth handover after the sales phase
  • Acting as a liaison between the customer, vendors, and internal teams (consultancy, support, pre-sales)
  • Maintaining and tracking sales opportunities in CRM systems (AFAS, HubSpot)
  • Preparing accurate forecasts and management reports
  • Creating and presenting proposals

  • WILLINGNESS TO TRAVEL: Willingness to travel regularly within the EMEA region for customer visits, trade shows, and partner events (on average 20–40%).
Job Requirements
  • At least a bachelor’s level of thinking and working ability, preferably in Sales, Economics, Communication, or a related field
  • Proven experience in a comparable B2B sales role, preferably in an international environment
  • Experience with channel sales or partner-based selling is a plus
  • Knowledge of enterprise software such as ECM, DMS, ERP, CRM, or AI/automation tools is an advantage
  • Analytical mindset with a structured way of working
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written; German is a plus
  • Willingness to travel internationally for customer visits, events, and trade fairs
