As a full time Pre-Sales Engineer within ORBCOMM you are responsible for ensuring that products within the ORBCOMM Group function properly. You work directly increases customer satisfaction.
The role is focused on managing ORBCOMM sales, including direct sales development and indirect sales through this organization, however, the role will also be:

In the position of Pre-Sales Engineer, you have the following duties and responsibilities:
  • support of existing customers with regard to user questions and as a coordinating authority for technical issues
  • active support of customers during sales-related tests (Trials), through system briefings online and / or on-site to the respective customer
  • instruction and training in the course of on-boarding new customers
  • assist in training new sales employees to present the different offerings to customers and prospects.
  • understanding of the organization of the areas supporting this role
  • participate on behalf of the company in exhibitions and conferences
  • build and cultivate mutually beneficial relationships with strategic partners
  • diligently track all activities and contacts in Salesforce.com
  • other tasks that fit in the pursuit of the business development for ORBCOMM, at the discretion of the manager.
  • ensure accurate weekly reporting
  • minimum 5 years’ experience in telecommunications, technology or information industries.
  • minimum college undergraduate degree required.
  • ability to demonstrate track record of success in cutomer contact
  • good customer relationship
  • self-motivated and organized, able to prioritize your own work load and agenda
  • travel up to 50% of the time.
  • flexible attitude
  • capable to work under pressure
  • English and French (written and spoken is preferred)
  • other European languages an advantage
