Currently we are searching for this company a Manager Planning & Fulfillment who can with ease drive the changes through his team by keeping the personnel at all levels in the organization motivated and willing to master their work (leading by example).

It’s a fulltime long-term position. This function reports to the Director Operations Benelux. The team consist of 12 direct reports.

Tasks and Responsibilities
By nature, the new Manager Planning & Fulfillment is a strong communicator able to persuade others towards an exemplary way of thinking and is also immune to the stress accompanying this process. Additionally, our ideal candidate is pro-active, has a hands-on personality/mentality and has an excellent delegation ability.

Your main tasks are:
  • Manage, optimize and monitor the Planning & Order Processing department: resources, tools, budget, performance, efficiencies, legal and company EHSS aspects;
  • Direct, manage, develop and review all employees of the department: daily responsibility of functioning and overall goal settings and evaluations throughout the year;
  • Manage Working Capital of inventory items: set guidelines, develop tools and objectives. Anticipate on seasonal demands. Manage inventory levels;
  • Budget control and performance indicators: define, control and monitor. Achieve and set supply service targets;
  • Supply and demand management: achieve, report, set targets and reduce costs. Identify and correct material and capacity constraints by acting as a liaison between sales and production;
  • Optimize planning and order processes and systems. Manage and monitor order entry, shipping, invoicing. Assure availability and create commitment to achieve deadlines;
  • Production Planning and scheduling: level capacity, create awareness of bottlenecks and resolve these;
  • Forecasting and demand planning: monitor and improve accuracy, anticipate changes, improve awareness;
  • Communication: participate in management meetings, optimize communication to internal and external customers;
  • Responsible for maintaining and improving the department's IT systems.
Your profile
  • Master/Bachelor (University/ HBO) Business Supply Chain or Management/Economics study is a pre;
  • For this role, seniority (7 – 10 years of experience) will be crucial. In your career, you also possess at least 3 years of management experience in an international environment within production and/or logistics, preferably in fast moving goods environment and accordingly, knowledge of ERP systems (QAD/SAP) and planning tools;
  • Our ideal candidate is due to his/her experience able to communicate at all levels inside and outside the organization, shows safety-oriented behaviour daily and is a people manager with equal importance put on the personal result achievement;
  • Distribution and company processes are understandable and logical for our ideal candidate;
  • Excellent knowledge (verbally and in writing) of the English and Dutch language. Good knowledge of French and/or German is an advantage.
