Manufacturing Process Specialist

About the team
The team is a group of four Manufacturing Process Specialists and a Team Leader. Together they are responsible for providing support to the operations organization, to facilitate efficiency within the warehousing and Value Added Logistics area, to innovate processes by leading and owning process optimization projects to ensure future readiness and optimize existing processes and to ensure goals are met.

Job description
The Manufacturing Process Specialist provides support to the operations organization and is a point person in the Value Added Logistics and Warehouse Operations organization. The Manufacturing Process Specialist assists in managing the important labeling and Lot History Record systems. Assisting in projects concerning the addendum and relabeled lines is also one of the main responsibilities. This person helps driving change in the complex environments.

Tasks and responsibilities
  • Interfaces with Regulatory Affairs, Quality and Value Added Logistics to integrate new processes into existing processes.
  • Take part of process optimization projects and focus within a project on continuous improvement.
  • Handle CAPA’s and perform root cause analyses.
  • Initiates and completes activities leading to new or improved processes, for current programs, next generation programs and to meet strategic goals and objectives of the company.
  • Monitors performance and corrects process parameters that produce non-conforming product, low yields or product quality issues.
  • Incorporates business policies and procedures into task completion. Understands the business needs of the company, and has knowledge of the customer needs of our business.
  • Cultivates internal and external network of resources to complete tasks. Serves as a resource in the selection orientation and training of new engineers and employees. May lead a project team, determining goals and objectives for the projects. Mentors employees by sharing technical expertise and providing feedback and guidance.
  • Interacts cross functionally and with internal customers. Serves as a consultant for engineering and advice on significant matters. Acts as a subject matter expert in external and internal audits.

Background and competences
  • HBO or Bachelor in the field of Industrial Engineering and Management or Logistics;
  • Experience in Medical devices or Distribution is a preference;
  • Familiar with quality guidelines;
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma method is a preference;
  • Good organization and project management skills;
  • Strong communication skills and open personality;
  • Excellent writing and speaking skills in English.
