AGCO Netherlands is looking for a software engineer for the crop care application equipment. From spreaders to sprayers, our equipment allows farmers to accurately and efficiently apply nutrients and protectants for improved crop yield and reduced costs with environmentally controlled applications.

In this role you will be working in a global team using an agile development process. You will be working closely together with the AGCO site in Jackson Minnesota where part of the team is located. The team is responsible for the crop care applications for the European, North and South American regions. Each region has its own specific requirements and self-propelled platform vehicles that will carry the application equipment. Learn more at www.fendt.com/int/rogator-600-highlights.

As a software engineer you will be involved in every stage of the process during the projects: requirements capturing, software design, algorithm design, implementation and testing. Besides machine behavior and performance, user interface programming will play an important role to ensure that the machines are easy and intuitive to use and to guarantee the premium Fendt user experience.

As a software engineer you will:
  • Develop software components from requirements until testing and debugging.
  • Create user interface
  • Develop control algorithms
  • Unit testing
  • Bench testing
  • Contribute to a maintainable and future proof software architecture
Required Qualifications:
  • Programming experience with C/C++
  • Object oriented design
  • UML
  • Python
  • CAN bus fundamentals
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ISOBUS, J1939, UDS protocols
  • Matlab/Simulink
  • Qt
  • AUTOSAR
  • Linux
Education:
Bachelor or master degree in computer science, electrical engineering or mechatronics.
