The study programme in Interdisciplinary Arts at Maastricht Institute of Arts is looking for a:

MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT

(0.7 FTE) – starting immediately


Your tasks include:
  • Providing organizational and coordinating support and acting as a point of contact for program manager, program teams, students and lecturers;
  • In consultation with managers, taking care of managing diaries and calendars, work schedules, and appointments;
  • Independently organizing (planning, correspondence, and handling) the study programme’s entire selection process;
  • Preparing correspondence and reports on meetings in Dutch, and often in English;
  • Independently taking care of the organizational side of meetings and activities;
  • Providing information and acting as a contact point for internal and external enquiries;
  • Carrying out marketing and communication activities, such as updating the website and social media accounts;
  • Coordinating the processes surrounding the Erasmus Exchange program for international students and the exchange of students and lecturers.
Candidates are expected to:
  • Have a post-secondary vocational education (plus level) work and thinking level and have a demonstrable work experience in a complex organization;
  • Be available four days a week;
  • Be willing to work outside office hours on occasion;
  • Have good writing and speaking skills in English and Dutch;
  • Have a high degree of independence and sense of responsibility;
  • Be able to deal with stress;
  • Be a team player;
  • Have good communicative and organizational skills;
  • Possess extensive knowledge of and experience with office automation;
  • Have a flexible attitude, have a can-do mindset, and communicate openly;
  • Experience in project management and/or experience in the Arts and Culture Sector is an asset.
Employment conditions:
We offer a position for 0.7 FTE, initially for the duration of one year. If the candidate shows ability in the temporary position, they may be offered a permanent position. We offer a salary commensurate with education and experience, but this will not exceed a maximum of scale 7 of the CAO-HBO (collective bargaining agreement for the higher vocational education sector), i.e. a maximum of €3,264.65 gross per month at 100% FTE. For internal candidates, the current employment duration will be maintained. All work will be carried out in Maastricht.
