Position Summary:
Lead the negotiations and supplier management with company supply base, driving the strategic sourcing process on a global basis. Lead and support the development, implementation and management of global strategies to provide both ACIST and Bracco with optimal supply assurance, pricing, flexibility, quality and delivery performance. Recognized as the Center of Knowledge for respective the ACIST supplier base and shares this information with key stakeholders to enable more effective planning, forecasting, and execution.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide Supplier relationship management for contract manufactures and key suppliers providing strategic planning, and managing, all interactions with third party organizations to an organization in order to maximize the value of those interactions. This includes negotiations of Master Supply Agreements and all the aspects of the relationship that need to be resolved to keep the relationship positive.
  • Lead and support the development, implementation and management of global strategies to provide both ACIST and Bracco with optimal supply assurance, pricing, flexibility, quality and delivery performance.
  • Lead the cross functional Quarterly Business Reviews with our contract manufacturing partners, ensuring all critical and strategic business issues are presented and discussed, performance metrics and project status reviewed, key management decisions made, with the goal of continually improving their performance and strengthening the business relationship between ACIST and our supply partner. In addition, leads discussions with key suppliers to ensure strategic alignment as required.
  • Support new product introduction and product changes as the key Supply Chain representative by coordinating all sourcing and supplier qualification activities on a global basis. Identify new high potential suppliers to support new and on-going business and serve as a supply chain lead in all related selection, qualification and ongoing performance management activities.
  • Key supply chain representative in the SIOP process, translating the Sales Forecasts demand outlook from Sales/Marketing into a Purchase Demand Plans and forecasts supply plan that supports the global inventory requirements and desired service levels. Working closely with suppliers and contract manufacturing partners to ensure they have the capability and capacity to support our forecasted demand.
Required Skills:
Minimum:
  • BA/BS preferably in Business Administration, Operations, or Finance.
  • 10-15 years of relevant work experience or 7-10 year minimum work experience with a progressive company required.
  • 7-10 years business process and ERP system experience required.
  • Medical device industry experience and GMP compliance required.
  • Experience working in Manufacturing and/or R&D Engineering environment
  • Advanced knowledge of supplier development and measurement.
  • Familiarity with product life cycle management.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to clearly summarize, present recommendations and solve complex issues
  • Commercial experience with supplier selection and approval; contract negotiations; supplier relationship management
  • Knowledge of FDA & ISO requirements or other recognized International Quality System standards preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with supplier quality certifications.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and coordinates activities of Supply Chain as it relates to supplier management and tracks progress/schedules.
  • Participate in supplier quality audits
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain business partner relationships across all levels both within and outside of the organization
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence and maintain high levels of communication and feedback with peers, management and various stakeholders
  • Must be able to travel in excess of 25% to domestic and international suppliers.
Preferred
  • Certification with Institute of Supply Management (ISM), American Purchasing Society (APS), or American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) preferred.
  • Lean/continuous improvement environment knowledge and experience preferred
  • SAP Experience
