INTERNAL CONTROL COORDINATOR (MAASTRICHT AREA)
The Internal Control Coordinator is part of the OCI Nitrogen Finance team, reports to the Finance Director and has a functional reporting line to the Director Audit and Risk of OCI NV.The Internal Control Coordinator implements and maintains a Risk Management and Internal Control Framework within OCI Nitrogen, therefore ensuring that business risks are minimized, business processes are compliant (legislation, regulations and policies), taking into account Internal Control best practices.
Your key responsibilities in this position:
- Advises, challenges and coordinates the organization on business risks assessment, mitigation and monitoring, including providing best practices and practical risk management solutions towards the business.
- Designs, implements and maintains the quality and usability of the Management System and of a Risk Management and Internal Control framework.
- Ensures alignment of business processes with Governance, Risk Management and Compliance by organizing, coordination and supporting audits (internal and external).
- Drives the implementation of the Internal Control Coordinator section of FPCI (Finance, Procurement, Control & IT) Year Plan. the FC&I Year Plan.
- Is a member of the Monitoring Committee.
- Assists the OCI Corporate Audit organization in executing audits within OCI entities.
Your Profile
You have attained a university degree in Finance, Business Economics or a related area. You have at least 5 years’ experience within an industrial/manufacturing environment in which you’ve been exposed to risk management and auditing, preferably within an international context. You understand the value chain of a production organization and you are familiar with all relevant business processes (core and supportive). You have a broad view on (international) developments in the area of Governance, Risk Management and compliance. Bedsides, you have a broad experience with MS Office, SAP and system implementations, control designs, IT and information security. Furthermore, you have proven project management skills and have experience in steering and participating in multidisciplinary teams.
For this position, you master the English and Dutch language (written and verbal, fluently). French and/or German is a pre.
You are to be characterized as a professional that builds long-term relationships, speaks the language of management and staff and understands the various interests that are at stake. At the same time, you can put control/risk issues on the agenda and know how to create commitment to implement needed and desirable changes. You drive a practical and hands-on approach, whilst retaining your responsibility and authority as a professional to strive for an optimal situation regarding internal control/risk management. You know to what extent flexibility is possible, but also know where to draw a line. You are convincing in your communication; possess strong analytical skills and you have a good sense of humor. Furthermore, you can work autonomous and self-reliant, especially as you are the sole internal control authority within OCI Nitrogen.
